DEP is the German National Honor Society recognizing students for their excellence in the study of German. German students who have completed the 5th semester of German studies with a German GPA of 3.6 and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher are invited to become members of DEP. This honor bestowed upon students may be used on scholarship and college applications, and becomes part their official transcript. Students are allowed to wear the German honor cord at graduation.
When?
Induction of new members is in April/May. From induction until graduation or their last high school course in German
Are try-outs required?
No, but students are required to sign the activity code.
