What is DECA?
DECA is an international association of both college and high school students who, through competition, course instruction, community service, and business partnerships, become academically prepared, community oriented, and professionally responsible, and experienced leaders and entrepreneurs. It is a year-round organization. DECA has been in existence for more than 60 years. In Wisconsin, there are more than 12,000 active members.

How to get involved?
- Become a member. No requirements needed... but an interest in business/marketing and enrolling in Intro to Marketing are helpful. See Mrs. Smessaert for an application.
- What you can do as a member:
- Work at the Rookery, our student store
- Rookery Manager (senior year, application and acceptance required)
- Musical Promotion (September-November, all DECA officers are required to assist)
- Honours Dinner & Preparation (3-4 volunteers needed on Saturday in November)
- Concession Stand
- Trick or Can (food drive)
- DECA the Halls (December, all members are encouraged to particpate)
- Sign up to Compete:
- January - 1st competition (District level, held @ Kettle Moraine High School)
- March - 2nd competition (State level, held @ Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva)
- April - 3rd competition (International level)?
