The 2026 Zonta Young Women in Leadership Award   $2,000 + $5,000 

• Aimed at young women ages 16 to 19, pursuing education, careers or seeking leadership positions in public policy making, government, and volunteer organizations are eligible for the Zonta International Young Women in Leadership Award.  

• Applicants must show their commitment to the volunteer sector, evidence of volunteer leadership achievements and a dedication to building a better world for women and girls through service and advocacy. 

• The Zonta Club of Milwaukee awards one $2,000 award and forwards the winner’s application on to Zonta District 6, which may submit one application for consideration of one of 37 Zonta International awards of $5,000 each.

•  The Zonta Club of Milwaukee awards are open, and promoted, to young women in the six-county greater Milwaukee metro area (Milwaukee, Waukesha, Washington, Ozaukee, Racine, and Kenosha counties).

• The 2025 Young Women in Leadership Award application is available now. Completed applications are due on or before March 15, 2025.

The scholarship is awarded over four years:

• Year 1: $2,000
• Year 2: $2,250
• Year 3: $2,500
• Year 4: $3,250

Current scholarship recipients must renew the Thomas H. Lutsey-Waseda Farms scholarship. The scholarship is renewable for up to three subsequent years. Renewal forms are available online beginning May 1 through July 1. July 1 is a hard cutoff with no exceptions. To renew your scholarship, you must submit the following:

• Scholarship Renewal Form.
• Most recent official transcript.
  • You will be required to upload your current Spring semester transcript when completing the renewal form found on our website. Please have this document available when you begin the renewal process.
• Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Maintain your qualified major or switch to another qualified major.

The Slinger High School Soccer/Matt Pfund Memorial Scholarship will be awarding a $500 scholarship to one member of the boy's soccer team and one member of the girl's soccer team.  Applications are available in the guidance office and are due back to the guidance office no later than April 7, 2026.

The applicant must reside in Slinger, Hartford, Mayville, Kewaskum, or West Bend.  The student must use the scholarship to attend a minimum two-year degree program in Fire service, emergency medical services, medical studies including nursing and pre-med, public safety or police science.  Must have a 3.0 GPA.  

Children or grandchildren of current members of the Allenton Fire Dept will be given first priority. Residents of Allenton Fire Dept response areas will be given second priority.

Award
A. Up to three $1250 scholarships will be awarded (If no eligible candidates are found, the scholarship committee has the right to withhold presentation of the awards).
B. Scholarships will be presented to the recipients at the annual Washington County Breakfast on the Farm on 6/13/26.

Selection process
A. Selection to be made on the recommendation of the scholarship committee based upon:
1. An essay by the applicant limited to one page explaining their goals, objectives and need.
2. Two letters of recommendation (from a teacher, employer, counselor, mentor, etc. - parents or guardian excluded) to be submitted with application.
3. Transcript of high school or post-secondary grades.
4. Neatness and attention to detail will be part of the selection process. Essay letter must be
signed by applicant.
