How to Apply

Visit our Registration Page to begin the application process.

You will receive an Application Packet via Email within two (2) weeks from the time you register.  If you have NOT received your application packet within two (2) weeks, please email us.  Only email if you have completed the Registration Page and have NOT received an application packet within two (2) weeks.

Please only submit your completed Application Packet.

Deadline & Selection Dates

Eligible Grades:  2027, 2028, 2029, & 2030

2027 - 2028 Fall App Deadline (received by):  October 31, 2026

Winners Chosen:  December 15, 2026

Awards Distributed:  July 31, 2027

One application per student; non-winners may reapply.

The 2027 Zonta Young Women in Leadership Award   $2,000 + $5,000 

• Aimed at young women ages 16 to 19, pursuing education, careers or seeking leadership positions in public policy making, government, and volunteer organizations are eligible for the Zonta International Young Women in Leadership Award.  

• Applicants must show their commitment to the volunteer sector, evidence of volunteer leadership achievements and a dedication to building a better world for women and girls through service and advocacy. 

• The Zonta Club of Milwaukee awards one $2,000 award and forwards the winner’s application on to Zonta District 6, which may submit one application for consideration of one of 37 Zonta International awards of $5,000 each.

•  The Zonta Club of Milwaukee awards are open, and promoted, to young women in the six-county greater Milwaukee metro area (Milwaukee, Waukesha, Washington, Ozaukee, Racine, and Kenosha counties).

• The 2027 Young Women in Leadership Award application is available now. Completed applications are due on or before November 8, 2026.

Pre-Med/Nursing

Application instructions can be found in the guidance office.

Applicant must have been a student of Allenton Elementary School with at least four full school years of attendance.  Have a minimum GPA of 2.50. 

Return completed application to Slinger High School Guidance Office no later than February 1, 2027.  Applications can be found in the guidance office.

The applicant must be a son, daughter, or grandchild of a veteran of the United States Armed Forces.

Applications can be found in the high school guidance office.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• Be a high school senior.
• Applied for enrollment in a Construction Management program at an accredited
two- or four-year college, technical school, or university located in Wisconsin.
Confirmed acceptance required prior to final award.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Complete the Michels Corporation Scholarship Application Form.
• Upload a copy of your most-recent high school or GED transcripts.
• Answer the 4 essay questions on the application.
• Include one or more letters of recommendation.

Applications can be found in the guidance office.

AWARDS:
• If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $5,000 one-time award. Up
to 10 awards will be granted.
• Internship opportunities for the Summer of 2028 will be offered to students receiving scholarships.
• Future year scholarships may be considered for those students that complete
Michels internships and maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA.

-          Completed and signed scholarship application

-          Proof of military service connection

-          Most recent official transcript

-          Documentation of financial need

-          Essay titled “Why I Chose the Medical Profession” (max of 200 words)

-          Three letters of recommendation

-          Proof of enrollment in a qualifying medical program

-          Additional proof of enrollment for Paramedic applicants
