PASS is "Providing Assistance to Slinger Students." It is the name of the middle school's student assistance program. The program is designed to assist students who might be experiencing any number of personal, behavioral, or medical problems; many of which are alcohol or drug-related. The counseling staff coordinates this program.
The program is organized to provide assistance to students through education based discussion groups. Groups will be formed as needed for:

Students who are committed to making positive behavior changes

Support to students who are concerned about a significant other

Students who use or abuse alcohol or other drugs

Students who require support following treatment

Students experiencing family and/or relationship problems

Students seeking assistance with emotional or academic problems

Students with eating concerns

Students who need help with study skills

Students who need help with anger management

New Student Group
Students who desire to be in one of these groups or discuss an alcohol or drug related issue should contact one of the counseling staff members. Parents wishing to exclude their teens from involvement in such groups should contact the principal.
