*Instruments of the Orchestra: Recognizing orchestral instruments by sight, sound and family (brass, percussion, woodwind and string)
*Pitch Matching: Being able to sing well known melodies in rhythm and on pitch
*Recorder: playing songs on the recorder that include notes on the treble clef staff including below the staff "D" to 4th line "D".
*Signs and Symbols: Recognizing and drawing quarter notes (ta), eighth notes (ti ti), quarter rests (rest), half notes (two-oo), forte (f), piano (p), dotted half notes (three-ee-ee), whole notes (four-or-or-or), half rests (half rest), whole rests (whole rest 4 beats), 16th notes (ti-ka-ti-ka), repeat sign, musical staff, double bar line, crescendo, decrescendo, mezzo piano (mp), mezzo forte (mf), bass clefs, bar line and treble clefs.
*Staff: Identifying notes on both the treble and bass clef staff by their note names. '
*Composition: Composing a simple melody to be played on recorder.
