Academically capable students must be enrolled as an Art Major at an accredited institution of higher education located in the United States.  (This includes Art Therapy Programs).  All applicants must be US Citizens.  Recipient will be required to provide evidence of college acceptance before money is awarded.

Essay contest to a student who plans to enroll in a college/university in Wisconsin.

The essay should address the topic: What strategies can be implemented by town officials in collaboration with citizens to maintain civility in local government?

Typed (not handwritten) essay should be between 500-1000 words double spaced, must include a bibliographic listing of sources used, must be postmarked no later than May 24, 2024.

There are 2 scholarships with different eligibility requirements.

1. One Scholarship awarded to a Washington County WI HS graduating senior

2.  One Scholarship awarded to a Hartford Gun Club Member graduating senior

Must plan on attending an accredited school in Wisconsin or Minnesota (college or technical school).

Two $1,000 scholarships: 1) is open to any graduating senior from a Washington County, WI high school who plans on attending an accredited school in Wisconsin or Minnesota; and 2) is open to a graduating senior whose parent/guardian is a member of the Hartford Conservation & Gun Club.

Candidate must be of Italian descent as determined by OSDIA's trustees and selection committee, musts reside in Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Walworth, Washington or Waukesha county, and must be a graduating senior of an accredited public or private high school.
