Parents are encouraged to call the Attendance line, 629-1302, when a student will be absent.  Please call to report the absence before 9:00 A.M. the morning of the absence.  This is an automated number that can be called any time of the day or night so a parent could call to report the absence before going to work in the morning.  If calling after 9:00 A.M., please call the school office and do not leave a message on the attendance line.  School personnel will call parents at home or work if a student is absent and the school has not been notified prior to 9:00 A.M.

The Slinger School District uses a computerized debit lunch accounting system.  The system is family-based so that parents and guardians can remit one check to cover all of their students’ meals for a given period of time.  Hot lunch will be served daily.  Milk is available for cold lunches and money for milk must be deposited into the family account as well.  A check or money order should be made out to the “Slinger Food Service” and mailed or returned to the district office BEFORE the start of school in the pre-printed Food Service envelope.  (Please do NOT include the registration fee with your lunch money.)  Additional envelopes are available in all school offices for future deposits.   The district will utilize a computer call system to notify you when the account is below $8.00.  For any questions regarding your lunch account, please call Slinger Food Service at 644-6204.

Free or reduced lunch forms will be sent home with Food Service information.  They will be available at the school office or on the Slinger School District’s website after July 1.  Please contact the school to have a form sent home with your child, or stop at the office and pick one up.  A new form must be on file at the start of each year in order to benefit from this program as it does not carry over from the prior school year.
