Navigation & Quick Links
|
Located in the upper right of the site, the utility links are easy to access links that are intended for all of our common return visitors. This includes:
- Food Service
- Calendar
- Family Access
- Staff Resources
- Site Search
|
On all pages, the Schools menu opens when selected to show a list of all the schools. Each school may be selected in order to be brought directly to that school's landing page.
|
At the top of the site, you will find the primary navigation method. The main menu includes the district or each school's main navigation categories. When accessing each navigation category, a drop-down menu will appear with additional primary links and corresponding secondary links.
Each school will have its own set of navigation categories and corresponding primary and secondary links.
|
On the left side of many pages within our new site, you will find the inside navigation. This navigation shows all of the pages within that category. There are up to three levels of pages. Once you select a level 1 page, its level 2 pages will show. Once you select a level 2 page, its level 3 pages will show.
|
Our new site is fully responsive, which means it will adjust to any device that you are viewing it on. On mobile devices, all of the site menus including the main and inside menu will collapse into one mobile menu. The mobile menu is indicated by a button with three horizontal lines alongside the text "Menu."
Once the button has been selected, the full menu will open. You will be able to expand and collapse the full menu by using the arrows on the right side of the menu.

Contact Information & Social Links
At the bottom of every page on the website, you will find contact information specific either to the district or an individual school.
In addition, you will find links to our district's social media and a tool to translate our website.
There may also be links related to our website about privacy and accessibility information.

Landing Pages
The district and each of our schools has its own landing page with information specific for the school or district. The following explanations of each section will help you navigate and understand the purpose of each section on the landing page.
|
The entrance area appears below the header and consists of two sections: Photo Slideshow and Icon Quick Links.
Photo Slideshow
The photo slideshow showcases pictures and stories from our district and our schools. Regularly check this section of the website to learn about happenings, find updates to events, and see pictures of the students we serve.
Icon Quick Links
The icon quick links section is meant to get you to the content you need quickly. At the district level, these may not change often. However, each school will have links specific to its needs. Families should regularly use this section to get important information.
|
This section appears below the entrance area and features a set of announcements for the district or individual schools. These announcements may include events, programs, news, or updates.
The announcements may be different on the district page versus the individual school landing pages, so make sure to check both periodically.
At slow times, this section may not appear at all on the landing pages. On the other hand, at busy times, you may need to select one of the side arrows to view more announcements.
|
The featured story section will show one or a set of stories that showcase Slinger School District. A story may have an image or video associated with it. Check this section to find out how Slinger School District is unique and engaging students.
At slow times, this section may not appear on the landing pages.
|
This section shows the upcoming events for the district or the schools. The upcoming events section shows the next 5 days of events with up to 3 events each day. If there are more events than 3 in a day, an arrow will appear. You can select the arrow to show all events that day.
At any time, you can visit the full calendar by using the "View Calendar" link in the upper right.
If there are no events within the next week, the section may not appear.
